01. nars tinted moisturizer: over the summer, i switched from wearing the nars sheer glow foundation to their new tinted moisturizer with built-in spf. it’s much more lightweight (and the spf is so convenient). not only has it not caused me to break out, my complexion doesn’t feel congested even if i leave it on all day. since congestion has died down and the spf is protecting my skin from discoloration and sun damage, my skin tone has evened out considerably which requires less makeup in general. i apply the tinted moisturizer sparingly and only apply a second layer where i need it most.
02. exfolikate: i switched exfoliators at the end of the summer and am so happy i did. i use the exfolikate scrub 2-3 times a week at most. the trick with this is to leave it on for a few minutes after exfoliating with it so that the product can double as a peel. i haven’t had a break out since i’ve started using this and the clogged pores around my chin/cheek area have disappeared.
03. la mer moisturizing soft cream: i know what you’re probably thinking. la mer? but hear me out on this one! la mer recently introduced a new moisturizer to their long line of luxurious creams. the soft cream has all the benefits of the traditional cream, but is lighter and not as heavy nor as greasy. i’ve never used any la mer cream prior to this, so i don’t know how the two compare personally, but i am really enjoying the soft cream. i’ve been using it for two weeks now, and i love the way my skin feels and looks afterwards. it serves as the perfect base for makeup too - it absorbs quickly and my skin doesn’t get oily or greasy as the day progresses. it just feels super soft and hydrated. i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t already saving up for a second jar of this.
