1. a close friend of mine introduced me to the world of epilation and i couldn’t be happier. hair removal has been a constant struggle ever since i can remember, so this method comes as a huge relief to me. i don’t have the patience to wax regularly and shaving is a nightmare. i purchased the emjoi as per the recommendation of my friend and it’s been a joy to use. i recommend the corded version, as i’ve heard the cordless version runs out of battery and can be an inconvenience to use. it comes with a built-in light to help you spot the hair as you epilate. the first time i tried it, it took about an hour to remove the majority of the hair and i needed a few sessions to get into a nice routine. to give you an idea, i used the emjoi right before my five day trip to florida and i didn’t even bother to bring a razor with me. no ingrowns, and no visible hair growth while i was at the beach. it cuts down on time and is not any more painful than waxing.
2. i am always really hesitant to change facial products, as i’m sensitive to break outs, but i’m glad i ventured a bit out of my comfort zone. while i enjoy the philosophy purity made simple cleanser, i can’t get enough of the fresh soy cleanser. something about it just balances out my skin so nicely and leaves it feeling supple and free of blemishes. the scent might bother some because it’s a bit unusual, but i’ve grown to love it and will be using this exclusively from now on. the packaging is also much more convenient to use compared to the philosophy cleanser.
3. on my trip to florida, i also packed a few samples i had of the exfolikate scrub. while i’m not dissatisfied with the korres pomegranate scrub i’ve been using for the last year or so, i enjoyed using this product and am going to get a small tube of it next time i go to sephora. i’d love to see what kind of results i’d get from long-term use. the combination of the fresh soy cleanser and this scrub was amazing - they really complemented each other nicely.
4. i’ve been wearing men’s cologne exclusively for a while now and i’m really enjoying it. the scents and notes are much richer and more sensual in my opinion. since they’re not overwhelmingly floral like women’s scents, they’re much more calming. does anybody else get headaches and experience sensitivity to scents? i’ve noticed this doesn’t happen when i wear fragrances designed for men. burberry brit for men, bleu de chanel, and l’homme by yves saint laurent are by far my favorites.
