welcome to my never-ending quest to create the perfect streamlined wardrobe (did i mention i’m a bit ocd?) i’ve grown tired of purchasing things here and there for the sake of shopping and have been much better about putting money aside for things i really want. i saved up my pretty pennies for these valentino rockstud sandals that happened to be on sale. after waiting for the fedex man all day yesterday, i was dying to try them on. i was hoping they might fit, but they don’t. awesome. i had to order them one size up because they were out of my size. i must have walked around the house in them for an hour in denial, but it was quite obvious that the straps were too big for my tiny little ankles and it looks like i’ll be returning them after all. sigh.

today was so gorgeous out and i spent it shopping downtown. zoë had some great sales, so i picked up a comfortable sweatshirt dress by splendid and a pair of citizens of humanity jeans in a charcoal gray. their sale items are available online as well, so make sure to visit their site! my zara shirt arrived in the mail and fits perfectly (can you tell i’m into studs lately?) i’m usually not a big fan of zara - sacrilege, i know! i feel like it’s all so overpriced and not made to last. this top is definitely an exception though: it’s linen, has a great cut, and was not expensive. i also lucked out with these two paintings that are perfect for the non-existent apartment i currently have in new york. finding a place to live that is not the size of a box and triple my old rent will be next month’s project.
